Among other things, I am a huge fan of Seinfeld. That would be the TV Show, not hillbilly speak for a fallen sign. As Christmas approaches, I'm reminded of the non-denominational celebration of Festivus. Therefore I'd like to air a couple of my fall protection grievances.
Today is Humbug Day. Based strongly on the Charles Dickens classic, a Christmas Carol, the "Humbug" attitude rears its ugly head around this time of year. It got me thinking. Can the humbug attitude kill people?
Well, my wife would laugh at the term "duty" because she is a sucker for potty jokes. But the duty to have fall protection is a serious business to OSHA. What does OSHA have to say about this? How about we give you the cliff notes!
